Default A Thousand Dreams

Hey there.
This one has got the title "A Thousand Dreams"
In fact i like this photo very much.
I love the low saturated colors and the dreamy expression in her face.
Thats where the title comes from.

But I'm not sure about the whole composition.
In my eyes it looks great even if the arms are cut out of the frame.
What do you think ... should they be shown fully !? ://

Do you like the whole composition ?
What would you propose to improve?

Model: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Objective: Sigma 50-200 mm
Shutter Speed: 100/7999 second
Aperture: F/5.6
Focal Length: 123 mm
ISO Speed: 100

Thanks a lot.
Hope you like it.

Her expression is wonderful - i can see why you like this image! On to the details...It looks a little underexposed to me. The lighting is albeit directional a little flat. The background grey-ish sky keeps it from having much "pop". A bit of catchlight would add a little more life to her eyes. All those things can be tweeked in post. The one thing that can't be tweaked is her cut off arms. I don't think it's a shot-killer but it would have been nice to have them in the frame.... or to not have them in at all... Still, a nice capture.

I think I would crop this just above the bar which is adding nothing to your composition. The low saturation is interesting and gives the image a certain look but I don't know that it is more compelling than a properly and well adjusted image. In lowering the saturation you lose a bit of the tactile quality of her skin and the color of her eyes. Is it worth the trade off? I'm not convinced.

I don't think the missing elbows are a big deal, I'd have to see them included to decide if it would be better if they weren't clipped (sometimes elbows are ugly). I agree with Lee that the bar doesn't add, it actually detracts... I think low saturation is fine, but the exposure/contrast needs adjusted to me.
