Default 6 weeks old now!!!

eyes
Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel
Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture: f/5
Focal Length: 70 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire

took this one the other day while she was being quiet swinging away. The only light was the light from the window to the right. I need some help on a few things that I see. First the right side of the face seems washed out, second is the crop right? I tried to leave space for her to be looking into, but cant tell if she is looking enough in that direction to warrant the space provided? Also, do you think the eyes look over processed? besides some levels and such, they eyes are the only thing I really went after in PS. Thanks for the help!

The crop is fine I think, though I don't actually like the tilt that much. The face looks soft to me, probably a result of your shutter speed. It would have been better to up the ISO or open up the aperture and then increase the shutter speed to at least 1/100.

I don't mind the shadow on the one side of her face either, but the whole image looks a little bit underexposed to me. The eyes are not overdone at all, but they do seem quite dark.

Then again, baby might just have that cute pink skin, I don't know. But here is a creamier version anyhow, just for fun. Great shot and an adorable baby!

She doesn't look so pink on my calibrated monitor now anyhow. It was a real challenge to lighten up her eyes to show the light in them without them looking fake - I actually desaturated them a bit and they stilll look way overdone.

ya, in the original picture they are pretty much near black all over...in real life they are actually a bit darker than my original edit, but what fun is a baby picture without big blue eyes right? I just went into the eyes took out all of the black from the blue color. Thanks again

The only thing I'm going to mention is the background. The design really competes with the baby's face. You might want to try a plainer blanket behind her next time.
