Default not sure of conversion to B&W or anything else really..help?

This is my first ever post but DONT be gentle with me - I can take it I promise (with minimal weeping that you wont see and I will not admit to)

I have converted it to Black and White and fiddled a little with photoshop, I think I like it - what could I do differently?

nicely done. Only thing I'd do differently is place her in the left side of the frame, open up more room on the right. I'm a sucker for that kind of composition though. I may also try a higher contrast conversion, but just to see how it spun out...

I definately like the second edit better. Some will give the hot part of the hat a nudge, but I don't care about it. the composition was just what i had in mind when i made the suggestion.

Ther emoval of the floral pattern chair (?) but knowing what was rmeoved and knowing to look for the edges, its apparent something was done. to me it wasnt a huge distraction anyway, and may have just settled for using blur, but the removal job wasnt a bad one. At this point, its a niggle, so be happy with it!

I love the composition on the re-worked image. I found the floral in the BG quite distracting.
I would love to see this in color.
I would prefer the image with less contrast, giving more detail in the highlights and shadows, but that is just a personal taste.
Still a lovely image - well done!
