Default Tunnel shot

From Drop Box

Took this shot yesterday in the park near my house. I really like it with the orange light coming down on the person, but I saturated this version slightly. I personally quite like the way the saturation makes the image brighter and the graffiti abit more noticable, but any feedback about the image would be great. Thanks

As a landscape/cityscape photo goes, I think this is an interesting shot. The light at the end of the tunnel draws your attention into the image and the graffiti has a nice color and texture.

As a portrait, however, I think it misses the mark since the person in the image is so terribly overshadowed by everything else going on. Had you gotten a close up of the person with that colorful background in soft focus behind them, it might be more of what I'd want to call a portrait.

Still, a nice shot, just maybe in the wrong section, IMHO.

nice.

i'd be inclined to mask in a curves adjustment to bring up the walls of the tunnel. the end of the tunnel is already blown which if fine, you just dont want to make it any worse.

Thanks ever so much for the feedback. Yeah, I like the photo but I never really thought that it wasn't a portrait, but I really like it as a kind of urban one.

i love the colours in this shot, but as the first poster said, it isnt technically a portrait, however if the image was a little more centered, it would look great as an urban shot
