Default How about this boy

I took this shot using my foldable backdrop.


How is the White Balance and what do you think about the lighting?

Exif:
Camera : Nikon D40
Flash : 3 and a reflector
Exposure: 1/250sec
Aparture: F3,5
Iso: 200

What a cutie! White balance seems fine...maybe a little on the red side. I don't love the lighting because I feel like it's dramatic without being dramatic....does that make sense? I just think the picture needs a stronger contrast.

Thank you Laurie for you're comments! It was not my meaning to create dramatic light. Used a main light in front right of the camera and a reflector left at the camera. Then I used a hairlight above the boy.

Could I create a better setup with my strobes?

Very nice angle and shot. But it definitely looks like highlights are blown on the the forehead and hair on the top of the head, creating a slightly over exposed look. Drop the intensity of the hairlight and your exposure should be spot on.

Lighting looks great to me - I don't see any blowouts at all. He's definitely too warm though, I'm seeing red/orange in his skin. Cute portrait!
