Default Sister and Sunburst

Late

Nikon D5000, 18 mm, 1/400", f/20, ISO-400.

I haven't taken many portraits, but I got this one of my sister the other day. How is the composition? Do you like the exposure? Should I have avoided the lens flare? Let me know what you think good or bad. Thanks!

I actually like it but if you were going for a portrait I'm not sure someone can be able to tell if it is her. I'm not an expert but maybe fill light with a flash or reflector next time. I'm sure one pro after my comment could double check that suggestion.

I do like the composition but I'd have to second Obijuan's comment regarding the exposure - your sister definitely needs lighting.

The sunburst look great .. but I agree to the point above about light .. as otherwise , its hard to justify the subject (which in this case is ur sister, right?) in the picture ..

The slight tilt in the image looks soothing too .. however I am not sure about the light ray flicks .. specially because its on the grass ... but it doesn't harm the feel a lot .. so its okay ..

Another thing would be the shadow .. Since its also an important fraction of the image .. it doesn't look well when its cut .. might be a deeper look would have brought it better..

otherwise .. its a good overall feel ...
