I will rather see the face. Color should be better I believe. Get down to her level next time. Use fill light.

Hi Dawn
I love B/W. I agree, though,...one of the general rules of photographing children/babies is to get down on their level. It would have been better if the baby was looking up. Be careful not to cut too much of the top of the head off.

I agree with the others that the "looking down" at the baby didn't help. It's the way we always see babies and would have added much more impact if you changed the perspective, especially by getting lower.

Also, I find the crop to be too tight. By cutting off her feet and parts of her head, it feels a bit cramped.

I like the b/w, and feel it's processed relatively well, though I would boost the darker colors a bit to create a bit more contrast (at least that's how I see it on my monitor).

As for sharpness, it's really hard to tell with a sample of this size, but it doesn't look to be as sharp as it could be.. but I'm a stickler about sharpness, so I may be being a bit picky.

I like that you captured the child doing it's own thing, but the crop, perspective, and not seeing her face, in the end, take away from the image for me.
