hi, i happen to be a newbie with the Dslr na dhave clicked this phot which i consider one of my best till date. but like any artiste, i way from being satisfied.
hence i would like to know the following: 1.is the image a bit out of focus, the face i mean ? 2. does the photo has more white areas ? the hairs on the fore head merge with the sky and disaapear on the right side, is that bad technique/white balance, or just fine ? ![]() besides, any other insights ? thanks a lot. vishal

First of all please post you exif data so we can use it to better critique your images.
Composition is very good. Choice to convert to B&W is also good. Good use of shadows to control the 3 dimensional shape of the subject's face. I do like the landscape format. Showing the subject's surroundings does add to the image. Medium depth of field is a good choice. I like the highlights of the hair. It gives meaning of his age and rugged life. Go back the this street, spend lots of time there. You will find thousands of images to shoot. Get use to the people and become part of the scenery. Gain their respect and allow them to let you photograph them. You have a goldmine of opportunities. Thanks Joe
