First off read the Critique Forum Rules before posting. You did not include any exif data on this image. This data helps us to properly critique your image.
Did you post process this image? When you are doing close up portraits you have to really watch your focus. You may even have to use your camera's focus lock and move the camera into final position for the image. I do not see any focus point in this image. The eyes and eye lashes are out of focus. When taking a portrait usually the eyes should be the point of focus, unless you are trying a creative effect. In this image I see no sharp focus. Is this a point and shoot camera? You might have gotten too close to the subject. The color balance of the image is way off, warm color tones are good, but if you post processed this image then you went just a bit too much. If you did not post process this image you might want to set a white balance on your camera. The composition is very interesting. I would also have shot this in the vertical to get several choices. Try different shots and different angles to build your creative eye. Try to visualize what the camera is seeing. When you do this you will be on your way to being more creative. Thanks Joe

I agree with the previous post. You are way to close to the subject and it appears you used an onboard flash....not a great source of light in my opinion.
With respect, the composition isn't bad but I think you missed the mark on everything else. This looks like just a snapshot taken with no real thought.

I didn't realize that you are all so professional. Wow may be you could have at least put in something posative about the picture. Sure there are things wrong but there are also good points as well. I like the composition. I also like the "Norman Rockwell" affect that happened.
Come on get off your high horses for a bit and cut some slack.
