Default First Attempt

I was taking some pictures of Xbox and Wii games for my kids to sell, then thought I should take some of the kids too.

The picture is taken on a set of white stairs leading to my attic.

I used natural light and a bit of LR2 PP to help me out.

I have a Nikon D3000 with the stock 18 - 55mm VR lens.

Device: D3000
Focal Length: 45mm
Aperture: F5.3
Shutter Speed: 1/15s
Exposure Mode: AP
Exposure Compensation: +0.3EV
ISO Sensitivity: 100
Flash: Off, did not fire.

I would appreciate any comments on this picture.

This my first real posting of portrait photography, and only my third posting.

Nice job.

Where did the catchlight in the center of pupils come from? Was it added in post?

Thanks very much.

The catchlights are natural. My daughter is sat with a window to her right, and just to what would be my left about 3 feet from her window is another window. It is the light from this which is reflected in her eyes.
