I tend to really like close up portraits like this, and the composition here works great.
Love your choice of f/stop as the bokeh is great.
Having said that, i think the image is almost ruined by the total lack of focus. Is it me, or is there no part of the image in focus? To me, in a portrait, focus on the eyes absolutely must be nailed... unless you had a specific intent to have focus elsewhere or not at all, but I somehow doubt that's the case here.

PS, some image data would be nice as I'd be able to give more concrete comments, particularly on the focus issue, ie is it related to shutter speed or simple camera shake.

General rule for portraits is to not cut off chins in the frame


The eye closest to us is more in focus than the rest of image it seems. Is it possible that some kind of skin smoothing processing was used so it looks more out of focus?
