Default blown out picture possible fixed???

I don't know if this would be a portrait or a landscape... I took this while the crew was doing a beach clean up for the oil spill here in Mississippi. I didn't check my exposure, etc so it was blown out (or whatever the term is). I tried messing around with it--my question is... would this be an acceptable "unique" picture?

flash fired
focal 55mm
exposure time 1/200s
aperture f/6.3
ISO 200
Exp Bias 0
WB Daylight

There is an old saying in photography: One out of focus shot is a mistake, ten is an experiment, 100 is a style. What I gather from this is the if you are going to do something rsiky, be bold about it.
Is your image overexposed (blown out)? Of course; but I like it. I would clean up the dirty area in the foreground but this would make a great illustration for something.

as PP said if you clean up the ground, it could make a nice top background to a blog or something. Maybe a construction blog!

I think it is quite neat that they are wearing summer attire while walking on snow

Kidding aside you might be able to get some detail back, have you tried decreasing the exposure in the highlight areas yet?

I agree that it looks pretty sweet the way you have it if you clean out a couple of the areas in the foreground.
