Hi,
I really like this shot and I was wondering what DPS thinks of it. Any feedback is welcome, I want to get better! Thanks! Camera Model: Canon EOS REBEL T2i Flash Used: No Exposure Time: 0.0063 s (1/160) Aperture: f/5.0 ISO Equiv.: 125

She's a little too centered, and I think cropping off some of the top and left side would help the composition, and her skin tones need a little warming up. I did a quick play in photoshop of the above and liked the look of it much better. Nice shot though

You are right on her being a little too centered. So what I didn't do too well on this is the rule of thirds? In most other photos I try not to center the individual, but in this one I did a bit.

It does look better with the shrubs cropped, but now that I have looked at it again, you might want to try square cropping instead of portrait orientation. It will put her right eye (camera left) back in to the top left thirds intersect. |

I like the newer crop better. I also agree since it's so centered, might as well make it a square crop.
I also agree that it's a bit 'cold' and it's because you were in the shade (right?). Slightly warming it would be good. Since you're using the LR beta, try boosting the Vibrance a bit.. won't do the skin tones too much, but warm it up in general a bit.. maybe.. hehe. If not, use the temp slider near the top just a tad towards warm. It's a nice fun photo and she/the parent will be happy with it. Personally, I'd play more with the colors to do something different. I'd try to cross process it a bit or something like that. But that's just me..

I like the new crop....draws your eye more to the subject then the green shrubs....
her skin tones look fine to me on my monitor but would be interested in seeing it warmed up like suggested just to see the difference. only thing I'm not a fan of are her earrings! wowsers, those are big ones!
