Welcome to DPS! Cute kid with beautiful eyes! Just an FYI, you might want to ask the mods to move this to the critique section if you're looking for critique - it's against the rules to give CC in the Share Your Shots.

As Susan said, this is better suited to the critique area if that's what you're looking for, so I've moved it over there.

Is there anything in particular you're looking for critique on? For example, posing, composition, lighting, post-processing, etc.

My first impression was also my overall impression. It's a nice quick candid that probably means something to you because you probably know the kid, but as a portrait, to me, it feels like a snapshot.
The focus seems like it could be sharper, what shutter speed did you use?
It also feels very crowded since you cropped off his chin. May I suggest that if you crop off parts of the face, you really crop and make it very close up, otherwise it just feels 'chopped off" and not in a good way.
The color processing seems to work well in some ways, probably highlights his hair and eye color, but I personally don't like the color tone used, but I'm strange that way.

In the end, without knowing what your goal was (ie portrait, or candid or..), it's hard for me to say much more. In the end, it feels like a snapshot, though nothing technically wrong, doesn't do much for me.
