I've always taken my kids' school pictures and have found that I really love doing so. I'm starting to include other subjects and I'm trying to learn different techniques. This particular picture was a random shot of my niece with her new baby at a 1st communion party - I cropped the picture down and did some editing with Paint.net - warmth, softness, I may have used some sepia as well.
My camera is a PowerShot SX20IS and I was playing with the settings at this party so honestly I'm not sure what it was set at. It may have just been on "auto". So, I'm not sure how much help I can get with this, maybe in the cropping or the editing that I did? Anything would be helpful. Exposure 1/30 f/4 ISO 640 Flash fired
