Default 2 girls

Hey guys, first post and all - came across this great sight the other day in the midst of my renewed passion for photography. Ive always loved photography and spent hours as a kid playing with my dad's beautiful AE-1 burning through rolls of film much to the mirth of my parents. At school, instead of being the cool kid playing football etc I took the photos for the school magazines etc.

I moved into the digital age with some entry level cameras and have finally outgrown my Alfa 100 Sony and taken the plunge and gone for a 5D Mark 2 which hopefully arrived today - havent been this excited for a while! Anyway, I thought I would start off with a photo I snapped on the 'old' camera the other day of my 2 girls. The little one, in the photo, is about 4 weeks old. She was having a little rest on her big sister's bed by herself in the morning, I went out of the room momentarily and when I returned big sister had snuck in and was just lying there like this looking at her new best friend. It was a pretty rushed pic and I have done nothing post production but I love the "new life and new sisterhood bond" kinda story it tells. Anyway, thought I would throw it up for any suggestions to play with in photoshop

Hi,
Welcome to DPS!
Congrats to your new 5d mark2!

The photo with the theme "new life and new sisterhood bond" was taken in a nice perspective. I hope you didn't rouse them from their sleep.

There are some very bright areas that can be easily improved in photoshop like the spot on the back of your girl's pink dress.

Rick

The EXIF data is saved in the image file. On my Mac, I right click on the photo and in my drop down menu, I see 'Get Info.' Your EXIF data is listed there.

There is a similar process to finding the same data using PCs when you view that image file.
