This is a re-post because I just discovered the critique section! For some reason, when I first registered, only the SYS and General Discussion sections were loading for me! I hope this is not a faux pas, but I would really love some critique on these...I'm new to the whole forum thing, so please forgive me if re-posting this here is inappropriate. Thank you! I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

A few weeks ago, I had an excellent opportunity to try some formal portrait photography, which is something I'd never done before, while simultaneously showing my support for a cause that I care about very deeply. At the University of Findlay in Northwest Ohio, UNITED (the university's "gay-straight alliance") put on a photoshoot in support of the NO H8 Campaign. This campaign is a silent protest against Proposition 8, which prohibits gay marriage in the state of California. You can find out more about it at NOH8 Campaign. I was one of three photographers who helped out with the university's event and these are my favorite shots of the day.

I would absolutely adore hearing your comments and critiques since this was my first attempt at formal portraits in a studio-like setting. Please let me know how I can improve? (Granted, we were just shooting in the student union, with a white sheet and two big, hot shop lights that had to be held up by two assistants...lol!)

Agree with the comments in the other thread - the redness really detracts from the photos.
