I took some practice shots with my two month old. I love this shot because of the pout. I just looking for ways on how I could have improved the shot. I used natural light and a flash. The biggest thing that jumps out to me is the part of the window near her head. Is it too distracting? There are more on my Flikr page

Awww I love the pout too!

The composition is bugging me, though...I'm not wild about her being so centered and having her eyes so far down in the frame. I saw another one on your Flickr stream that was shot in portrait orientation, and much preferred the composition, though I'd have cropped a bit tighter from the top to bring her eyes further up in the frame.

At first I didn't even notict the dark spot from the window, but after you mentioned it, it did start to bug me. You could always clone it out.

Hope this helps. She's adorable!

Thanks Susan for the feedback. I'll look into recropping the pics. I was restricted with these ones because I was putting them in 4x6 frames. I'll probably clone out the window too while I'm at it.
