Default Girl in Iris

Picture doesn't feel like there's a lot of clarity to me. I'd like it to look sharper with that "high gloss effect" I see. Any suggestions?

EXIF Info: Nikon D60, f/5.6, 1/60 sec., ISO 100, Focal length 55mm.

You have a good image to start with. Cute girl! What type of software, if any are you using? To me, it looks like it needs a very minor color balance adjustment. Her skin is a little on the cool side. And a curves adjustment to add a little more contrast. I think that is about it. It doesn't need any extra sharpening.
The focus is good, and it is well lit, with good composition.
I would, however. crop some off the top, and left to add emphasis to her instead of competing with the flowers.

Here is an example of what i did. This was done in GIMP. If you would like me to take it down, I will.
Edit: I fixed the color on the second image, and re uploaded. It was bugging me!

Thanks Luke for the feedback. Still learning the basic photoshop skills. The curves is one I need to work on. I like how you cropped the image and put more emphasis on the subject. Thanks again!

Oops! Sorry I made her too red. I really need to fix my monitor. Glad you like the crop!

I was just about to comment that I loved the crop, but though it went a little too warm. Glad I'm not the only one. That crop/edit with just the red scaled back would be gorgeous. Nice shot, tapinpar - and nice handle.
