Default Beauty Light

This was taken with one light above and slightly to the right and a silver reflector below. I tried to get the lights more centered but there were some serious space limitations. I wanted the feel of a nice soft "beauty light".

Did I achieve that lighting?
What would you do to improve the lighting?

Thanks

"Beauty" lights work wonderfully on the 18 to 28 year old female who has never been out in the sunshine for longer than 10 minutes, and has spent two hours with a professional make up artist before stepping in front of the camera. For everyone else we use softboxes.

The only issue I have with the image is that I'd like to see a little more in the eyes. Maybe bring the light down just a tad. The addition of the reflector really softened up the shadows which looks nice. Did you use a softbox to diffuse the light? I think I would try to get a more even lighting set up...I'm not sure how I feel about the shadow on the right side of the image (left side of her face). Overall I think the lighting is successful but with a little tweaking could be stronger.

Thank you both for the helpful reviews and replies.

I used a shoot through umbrella up top. I have another trick up my sleeve that I will try when I shoot this model again. I will also move the light to a lower location and get the light more centered.

Thank you again.
