Default Girl with a Candle

This is one picture out of a set for an application at the photography school in vienna.

Please give me feedback! What do you like on this picture (i hope you like something :-)) and what can i improve or make something different!

I would have put a little more light on the subject's right eye. I like the concept but (personally) I prefer being able to see the other eye--even if just barely.

It's a nice portrait, but it is just a tad too soft for my liking. It may look even better with a square crop. Otherwise, the contrast, and the composition is good.

BTW, here is you EXIF. It is required for submitting photos for critique. They also would like you to ask specific questions about what you want critiqued

Good minimalistic composition. I'd have liked a bit more catchlight in the subject's eye though I'm not sure if it'd have been possible with just one candle. Still, catchlight truly makes a face come come alive. Best of luck reg. your application.

Great photo! You could try lighting up her whole face with the candle somehow as well. Keep up the good work!
