Default CC: Little man!

Did a session with some friends and their son, Logan. This is my favorite shot of the day... wanted to see what everyone thought about it... just curious

BE HONEST! Rip it apart if you must.

Please post your EXIF data for this photo.

I do like it - I really like the concept here of his little feet.

I am not nuts, though, about that odd hole in the steel structure near the bottom of the frame. It's that rounded square hole. I just feel like it sticks out like a sore thumb, so I would crop that out. Looking at the photo again - you may actually be able to just clone that out using the clone stamp in Photoshop.

Good job, other than the funny hole! :-)

So cute, and I love your processing, it works very well for this image!

The very centered composition was bothering me, as was the space below the chair and the white spot that the previous poster mentioned. I hope you don't mind, I had a quick play - let me know if you'd rather I didn't and I'll take it down. If you like it, I can let you know what I did.

I love the color and the composition, and maybe a tighter crop would solve the problem with the white hole. Something like SusanH1970 did... btw... what is it that you did? It looks like you stretched it somehow, and also there is something different in the texture of the jeans....

Yep - I duplicated the layer, used the pointer tool to drag the photo down so the feet were in the position I wanted them, then used the transform/scale tools to stretch the canvas up. It looked odd without another button so I used the clone tool to stamp on another one at the top.

It was a super-quick edit, if I'd taken my time and did it in several layers, the texture wouldn't be as off - but just wanted to give a general idea.

The white "hole" was removed for printing, so no worries there.

I don't mind edits at all... I appreciate them!

The only problem with the edit (other than the textures, obvious edits, etc) is that he was certainly not that tall and it would be made VERY apparent to the parents. Third party would never know it, but the parents would.

Thanks guys.
