I really love how this picture turned out. My cousin pulled her gown out of storage and modeled for me. Converted to b/w due to shrubs by church all brown and sickly looking. (Church is no longer in use.)
1/200 ISO 200 sec f/11 38mm hot shoe flash fired with gary fong lightsphere cloud. |

Nice job with the overall tone! I love the vintage feel of this - the composition is great. Overall a great photo! My comment too is with her veil and bodice of the gown getting washed a bit by the white background.

Nice! I do see a couple of blown spots on her dress, but overall your exposure is good. I don't see the veil disappearing like the previous posters (but I have my monitor's brightness turned down - most new LCD monitors's default factory settings are set way too bright for photography). The lighting is lovely, I like the bit of soft shadowing. Compositionally, I'd have liked to see more space in front of her than behind (room to look into). The processing works for me!

That said, definitely take my words about the veil with a grain of salt. I think it's a great photo! I do like the composition in this still - it kind of violates the whole 'give the subject something to look into' rule, but in this case I think it gives the photo movement. There is still space in front of her, but she is 'going somewhere'. I like that.
