i kind of like the original better... (not sure of the code for the whistle smilee face) I do like how you punched up the color on her flowers. And even the brick seems to have more color. But the movement of the people was done well, IMO. I would just make them a bit smaller...

I prefer the edited version. It's warmer and fits the moment more than the original where is kind of cold feeling.

No I can't tell it's been manipulated.

Original had some merit. Post looks good. The amped up colors look good. Minor issue with shrubbery between them that did not get moved out.

However, I would challenge you to focus more on getting the right composition in camera. Personally, I have been struggling with this also. I made a decision a few months back to focus less on post processing and more on getting it the best I can in camera. For me, I would rather be a photographer vs. a post processor.

What software did you use for your PP?

I definitely couldn't tell it was manipulated, so I don't think it's overdone. In fact, I didn't realize you had shifted the background until I took a second look. I kinda like the idea of just cloning the leaves behind them, though, as opposed to shifting the arch behind them. I my untrained opinion (and on an un-calibrated monitor), your edit looks smidge dark and red, though. Hope you don't mind me taking a stab at it:

i have a question actually. what tool did u use to move the couple to the other location on the picture? this is assuming it was done in photoshop. if not, i can find the equivalent way to do so.

Thanks! The reason I made them bigger is to cover the ugly door. LOL I did pump up the color, I liked it better too!

Thanks, I did notice the shrubbery but was thinking that it would look worse if I tried to manipulate such a small area. I was hoping that people would just think it was part of his flower or just a bush in the background. LOL! I know, that's lazy!
Your right about focusing on composition in camera! I have just started in photography about 5 months ago now, and thankfully am getting a little bit better about that. I liked the arch in the background when we were there, but just liked it better the other way. Sounds like we are on the same journey.. less pp more quality SOOC! I used CS5 for the PP. Thanks for all your input!

I don't mind at all I liked the leaves too, but if you look at my flickr most of the photos we already in front of them so I was just trying to do some a few differently! Thanks though I like your edit! I also have an un-calibrated monitor.. LOL So I am usually just hoping it looks good to others! I should really get that done too. Thanks!
