Default Can't figure out background

Hey ya'll, I have no clue what to do with the greens in the far background. Personally I don't like all the trees because they don't blend with the rest of the shot. Any suggestions? Be as cruel as you want.
Thanks!
Daniel

you might try a high contrast BW conversion, then try cloning out the pathway.

is this a crop? its a hame to lose her head from the reflection.

I would desaturate the green a bit, use alayer mask and brighten up the subject

can you reshoot it...maybe from a higher angle and not have any thing but the water in the background? The horizontal lines disecting her head are not going to be wonderful no matter what color they are...

It looks like a composition issue to me. That bright green grass is going to be hard to get rid of (kinda looks like a green laser shooting across the photo). You could try to desaturate it. You could convert the whole photo to B&W or sepia, then reduce the highlights (but you would also be chaning the tone of the shot at this point).

I would consider reshooting in different spot, higher angle, etc. Eliminate the parts you don't want from the original shot.

Hope this is helpful.

if you could have shot from a higher angle maybe just getting the trees reflection in the water or dropped the camera lower putting her hair in front of the trees. The shot with the water and reflections looks good. Just try different angles.

If you can re-shoot it, do it. I'd like to see her face in the reflection as well...

unfortunately, i agree about the lines, but the light and reflection are so beautiful that it's a shame to waste the shot... and i doubt she wants to go wading again...

if you are REALLY good in PS, you might be able to extend the water up and remove the background. or you could try reducing the green channel, which i know how to do in lightroom but not PS.

don't forget to put up your edits so we can see the changes!

+1 her reflected head chopped off bothers me more than the greenery

i agree about the reflection, that's where my eyes went first. if you can't reshoot you could always crop the reflection much closer to her hands and that wouldn't bug people. Its the fact that it cut off at her neck that makes people want the face. Also, the background doesn't actually bother me..
