Second from First Session

Here's my second favorite from my first DSLR portrait shoot. This cutie is rapidly becoming my favorite practice model!

This image is SOOC for critique purposes. I might need to post-process to lighten backdrop back to white and maybe crop a little off top. I thought it seemed slightly under-exposed but in looking at the top of the tiara, the colors are nice and sharp. When I played with the exposure they seemed to blow out too much. What do you think?

I think the exposure is fine. It is hard with very shiny objects in the shot. You might be able to lift the midtones or adjust contrast to give it a little more pop without hurting the tiara. I agree with you crop suggestion. Right now her face is dead center and it seems a little odd. The only thing I might try to do different next time is have the had lower or to the side. The focus is on her face as it should be but the slightly blured fingers are distracting. It is hard for my eyes to decide what to look at. Other then that it is very well done; at least to my amature eye.

Interestingly, I liked her blurred fingers. I thought it told the "I'm 3" story well. Although maybe it would have been better if they were a little lower.
