Default New Baby please CC

Heres Jade shes my daughter. Im still new and learning how to edit. This is a quick one I did. Her skin came out way bright and I tried to Burn it down. However when I use the burn tool and I want to go back and touch up spots I always get lines/streaks where the strokes overlay eachother! Anybody know how to adjust that?? I need a lot of practice but this is a start.

I was using a wide angle thats why the grass is distorted, and it needs a better crop ( this one is straight out of the cam)

Oh and dont mind the sig I am still trying to make a watermark! Thanks everybody =)

Hi,
Love the composition and the grass. The baby is as cute as anything. Other more experienced users will give a better idea on how to use the burn tool. I'd have liked to see baby's arms and the forehead needs a little work.

smart composition.. I like it.. but IMO the greens seems too overwhelming and overly saturated,?.. maybe chnaging the tones or using textures.. might make the image more soft. Just a thought.

Maybe crop tighter? Less grass? it's soooo green, the baby is not the central focus. I like the grass, I just can't find the baby....

I love the crop, and the I actually really like the distortion from the wide angle lens. I wonder how I fish eye would look!

I agree I think the green could be toned down a little more. With the burn tool, try using it on 50% opacity or lower and cover the whole section you want with one click. If you want to burn it more you can always go over it again. I would burn the blanket too. It's really blown out.

I wanted the crop like that. It's directly how I shot it. I never have been intrigued by center crops ad much as I am with awkward ones I agree the blanket is blown and so was her skin. I didn't set the white balance before the shot maybe that's why?

My question us how do I burn spots , just spots on skin without having streaks it seems like I can't get it to blend well with the surrounded areas when I burn ? Thanks or the feedback

Set the hardness on your burn brush to 0% and keep the opacity at 50% or below and you shouldn't have a problem with streaks unless you really load it up on one area and don't balance it out. Use a low opacity and if you need to you can just keep adding to it.
