Your exposure is excellent and the light is lovely. The selective color doesn't work for me at all - it draws my eye away from her. I don't mind the head chop at all, but the chin chop is awkward. She's a little too centered - if you'd shot with more room to the left, it would have given her more "room to look into". Aside from the selective color, your BW conversion is good, but just watch for clipped blacks.

Thanks for the reply and advice. The selective color you speak of is the greenery and is actually some trees in the background. This photo was taken "on the fly" so i didn't have much time for composition.

I like the shot and was trying to find something insightful to say. But, generally, I agree with Susan. I saw on Flickr that you applied several treatments to the same shot. I think it may be interesting to see it in more of a high contrast B&W.

Exactly what she said.

Default Expression of a boy

my apologies - posted in wrong area...

I really like the colouring of your photo and the detail of the light in her hair - agree with the cut off of the chin on the bottom of the photo, perhaps a crop?

thanks all, this is how it was shot, no cropping, but the green is from a tree in the background and the rest is thanks to lightroom presets. Cold Tone
