Cute baby! But...the conversion is very dark and muddy (I suspect this was underexposed in-camera), and the pose makes me nervous. It looks like the baby is being choked. If the dad's(?) thumb was flat so the baby's head was just resting there, the pose would be much more appealing. It's an odd crop as well - half of the baby's arm is missing and he's also cut in half.

Not trying to be discouraging - keep shooting and practicing!

Please be sure to add your exif if you have it. Knowing your camera settings can play a huge part in giving you a good critique

Well the pose what actually what the father wanted.I thought it was a little choke-like myself but I wanted him to be happy with it.This was only one a quite a few so I was ok with one that I wasnt extremely happy with.It wasnt underexposed but again he wanted a darker photo. He liked it because it makes his hands look harsh(he is a construction worker.)And in the end I was satisfied. But thank you for the advice on the hands being cut off.I am going to go back to the original and rework a little to bring the hand back in the shot and try to lighten it up while still showing the rough hands. Thanks!
