My first Portrait picture..

Hello all,
This is my first attempt to portrait photography...
I'm new to photography and also these forums .. please share your comments and opinions so I can improve my skills.

- body: canon eos 1000D
- Exposure time: 1.3
- F-stop: 5.6
- iso 100
- flash: yes, fired

I have taken the picture in B/W setting from the camera; (I should have captured it in full color and then applying B/W in photoshop though ..) I have edited the 'Curves' for more contrast.

How can I put my image on this tread without attaching it or by URL, because I have been seeing other's posts and their images are shown with text.. thanks for your suggestion!!

I see you are using Flickr. Easy easy to post! All you do is click on your image on Flickr. Next you'll notice at the top of your image you'll see a bunch of options. Click on all sizes and it will then bring up different size options. For posting on DPS you'll want to choose the medium size option. Then below your image you'll see the html code and below that the url. You'll want to highlight the html code and copy it. Then come back to your post, click on edit and then paste the code there. And you have your image posted!
