Yes, but however, it was used in the context of an adjective. LOL!

Don't be messin' with me when it comes to grammar, I'll open up a can o' whupass on you!

My apologies for replying so late - I just saw your post. Thanks you for the kind words.

For the shots I posted, I shot at f/1.8. However, I don't always shoot wide open as a rule. I do love a shallow depth of field for outdoor photos (whether or not you want to call it "bokeh" is up to you, lol), so I'll shoot at anywhere from f/1.8 - f/5.6 outdoors. It depends on the light and how many people are in the photo (as well as whatever other technicalities present themselves that I'm just not thinking of off the top of my head, lol - not much sleep last night). Hope this helps.

A big high five to BigFuzzy for those comments that, I'm sure, many of us have been thinking!

I never understood that specific comment about a pro photographer not understanding the word 'bokeh.'

I am definitely an amertuer and nowhere near pro level, and that certain person's comments do not appear to be helpful in this forum in which I would like to learn from constructive criticsm. Again, thanks, BigFuzzy :-)

Thanks everyone for the support.. these types of people persist because we allow them to.

I don't. I won't. I refuse.

PS Susan.. that's what you get for being a grammar nazi, even while only joking around..haha.

Bra's off to you for sticking up for up newbies!

I personally cannot stand the arrogance of a lot of photographers. But I am in no place to lay into them, not yet
