welcome to the forum
![]() all i know is that in my last photoshoot to try get some exceptionally unruly children to calm down, my wife trying to be helpful, kindly brought in some popcorn. i thought.. "ok, if they dont calm down they will end up breaking something... lets give this a go.. it might work" it didnt work, they messed it on the floor, and sat eating instead of smiling and paying attention. then fought over the food.. and when they did smile.. they had bits of food in their mouth and teeth. bad bad bad idea. she said sorry, but hey.. you live and learn and she was only trying to help. the popcorn became a distraction and i'll never allow food in a shoot again. i dont think it works as a prop IMHO, unless its very ornimental and fits a theme, like a girl in a bonnet with a giant lollypop.. other than that food=mess in your shot, maybe its ok for a family photo. i dont think its something that can be sold to a client to be honest. doesnt work for me.

I think food can work as a prop, but I think it is an exception rather than a rule - like candleman says it could all go very wrong.... I definitely don't think it works on the face like you have it here. Keep getting creative tho, some shots will work while others may not.
Oh and heres a link to someone elses photo where they have cheerios as a prop and it turned out cute....so keep trying! on Flickr - Photo Sharing! |
