Default Camera shake?

Hi,

I generally identify cam shake when the pictures "pulls my eyes". Now I've got a shot that also somehow pulls my eyes but it's taken at 1/500s, so it shouldn't have...

Looking into a bright Future
Camera: Nikon D90
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 35 mm
ISO Speed: 200

Does it have shake? If not, what could be the reason for eyes feeling somehow...uncomfortable?

The only thing I see is the lines of his shoulders against the background have this halo thing going on with it. I don't see it anywhere else, except there. I do not think that this is camera shake. Someone who has more experience with lighting may be able to help, but it looks like it was bounced behind the subject, and you got a little back-lighting happening, and it is just more noticeable in the darker areas.

I think it's just a dof issue. You shot at f/2.8, and it looks to me like the left eye is perfectly sharp, but the right eye is not quite in the focal plane, so it's not quite as sharp. This may be unnerving because it is usual to have the closer eye be more in focus if one eye will fall out of the plane of focus.

I'm not an expert by a long way but I looked at a bigger picture on your flickr account. Shoulders are little out of focus but rest is pretty sharp for me.

Thanks for the hints!

I guess you're all right, I messed up DoF...I should have put the nearer eye into focus or maybe even both of them.

Thanks again!
