Default Yes or No?

I dont do a lot of portraits and I am wondering if you guys think that this portrait "works" ?? Is the crop too tight??

The eye has it

Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000)
Aperture: f/1.8
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 100

wow love it! i go for tightly cropped, unique shots myself....esp with one so crisp and bright. great job!

Whether or not this shot is successful depends on what you were trying to accomplish. The overall image has a very 'commercial' look to it. I can easily see this is a magazine ad. If that was what you were looking for, you have been successful.

I love the tight crop too but I'm also curious what this image will be used for, if anything? I think it'd be great for promotional uses but not so much for selling to a client.

Sorry, it doesn't work for me (no offense) the picture looks very good, it's just the cropping that makes me feel like there's something missing. I agree with the others, it would be a great commercial ad!
