Default Come Back Baby

Sony Alpha 700
Shutter speed 1/200
Focal lenth 105mm

This shot appeared very quickly and i didn't have a lot of time to set it up. When i shot i noticed a lot of lense flair but after looking at the results it gives my little girl that angel look and right now she really needs that. She is in the terrible twos. I realize i did not ask a question here. In this case is lense flair ok to use in this photo? or would i have been better to shield my lense with a hood or my hand?

I like the lens flare! I think it works here. I wish her feet were in the frame, though!

I agree with everything said above. Lens flare does look good. No feet not so good.

Agreed with the above posters. I'd add more contrast, too.

i already had this shot but was not thinking about cutting her feet off. I made the requested changes. Does it look better now.

I think I'd try blurring the background a bit more to take any focus off the vehicles there. They're still in focus enough so that my eye is bothered by them. I wouldn't necessarily say drawn to them but maybe ....

I like the first crop. It puts the attention on your subject. She looks adorable by the way, even if she is being a grump!

I like the first crop also.. maybe try it again and just make sure to include the feet?

I agree, the first one but with the feet! I love those little boots. Great shot.

It reminds me of when my "baby" brother was little, and used to run in his boots, which had happy faces on the bottom... from behind we would just see these little happy faces popping up with each step!

I'm assuming you posted the second because the first one you didn't get the feet in frame in the first, not because you cropped them out. The second one is still nice, but yeah, the truck kinda draws the eye...along with blur you could decontrast and darken it a bit in that area to see if that helps. Love the light!

p.s. I have twins and didn't have the terrible twos or threes, but now that they're in kindergarten we have the tired grumpy sassy fours when they get home from school.
