Default The darker side

I'm extremely new to photography, Is there something I am doing wrong ? any tips to improve my work

i used a fuji s5500 with the flash

sorry thats all i know about it, like i said i am new to photography. I just need some tips on how to frame the picture and what not.

I think I am having trouble answering your question because I don't know what you were trying to achieve with this photo. It also helps if you include your exif info so we can see how you shot it and possibly make suggests in those areas.
To me this photo is too centered. There is a lot of dark, uninteresting area to the left of the photo. Cropping that out and making her eyes off-center might help the photo seem more interesting. The skin tone seems off to me, too, but that might be what you were going for.

Please read thru the guidelines and include information asked for. It helps a great deal to know your camera settings (exif) to suggest alternate settings
