In the first one, I couldn't tell if he was holding a person or a wig...I can't tell whose hand that is on his chest (looks like his)? I didn't realize it was a woman until I saw the second picture. Maybe if they were turned more to the side or you could see her arms or something...I think the color is nice in the first one, but try to have them all in the shade so you don't get that bright spot on his torso. In the second one, the black and white is nice but I am not big on the selective coloring on the tattoos. It takes away from the moment you are trying to capture (unless this is for a tattoo ad, then it would be a different story.

I don't mind the sky as much as that spot of color between their faces. If you are going to have the only color the tattoos, then have the only color the tattoos. I prefer the pose in the second one, but with the selective color, I agree, it looks more like a photo about the ink and not the couples embrace.
