Default She found her feet today

Hi there -- I am new to the forum and I am looking forward to your C&C. I took this today of my little girl, Charlie. What are your thoughts??

Thanks in advance

Robin

I took it with a canon 40D
Are her feet in focus enough?....is the composition appealing? What could make this a picture someone would want to buy of their baby.

Great picture. I'm no expert, but my first impression is that the primary focal point should be the feet, the secondary should be the face. I think bringing them closer together may help. If you get lower, the babies feet will be loser to the face. Adorable picture!

The good: I like the concept of this photo. It's cute.

What I would do different:

Honestly, I think that the crop is too tight. And I don't like how the baby's face is out of focus. I think that this image calls for a deeper depth of field.

I also think it is really super bright, and that the baby's skin tones are very pink. Is that true to life or is the image to warm?

I agree that the crop is too tight - I don't like that the knees are out of the pic. Because it is a shot of her discovering her feet, I too would prefer her face to be in focus.

The compostion is gorgeous though!

Big soft spot for other little girls with the same as my own too hehe....
