Michelin Baby

I'm not a pro. I took this shot around 4 in the afternoon in open shade. I'm having a hard time getting the brightness in skin tones that I've seen in other photog's work. Any helpful hints are appreciated-PP hints too.

Hehe - I refer to my little girl as the Michelin baby too LOL!!!!!! Gotta love those fat rolls on the arms!

Have you done anything to it PP so far? All I've managed to work out in photoshop as far as that stuff goes is adjusting the contrast & brightness and it makes SUCH a difference.

And, I know it is hard with babies coz you just kinda need to take the shot right that second... but if you try & have them facing towards the light a bit more, you won't get as many late afternoon shadows on her face.

But, like you - I'm no pro.... just learning all this stuff as I go
