Default Composition, does it work?

I took some photo's of this couple this weekend and wanted to know if the composition works. Any feedback would be helpful!

selective coloring in this case doesn't work very well. You would have a much stronger image without it. The composition is fine. The shallow deppth of field works well to throw out the background. It would be good to balance the brightness of her skin in relation to his (she is a bit bright and draws your eye away to the left side).

I'm not a fan of the composition and I really find the selective coloring distracting. I think if they were not tilting their heads so much, it might make for a better photograph.

Does this work better?

I like selective coloring if it is not over done and I think that this one is over done a bit May be just the flower needs to be selective color.

I was worried it would draw your eye to just the left side by doing just the flower, so I tried to do all of the yellow but I think you all are right it is overdone. I think I will stick to just the BW version. In color the photo wasn't that great, but in BW it was a bit better.

Thanks for the feedback!

This is 100% better without the selective coloring.

Selective coloring doesn't add anything to the image. I prefer recompose and a tighter crop. Sample for illustration purposes.

I like the tighter cropped photo. I would suggest also adding a frame. It may make the picture stand out more.

I like the B/W version better and I think I like it better than the cropped version. But that's just me.
