First Pose.

Hey guys could anyone please tell me how to make this picture better. It was taken of myself by myself. Using a 5.0f at 36mm, ISO 100. The camera used was a Nikon D60. The flash I used was a slow rear flash. It just seems to be ;less impacting than the standard flash.

Oh yeah exposure time was 1.5secs

i would try without a flash. if you look at this shot with a histogram, my guess is it would spike to the right, indicating that it's overexposed, and therefore it looks washed out. also, there are a lot of warm tones, but i think the elimination of the flash would help eliminate that problem, too.

First, find a different background. The wall might have worked if the door, poster, carpet, etc weren't in there too. Adjust the exposure and add some contrast. It is too bright. I would also sharpen your eyes, because, I just always do that.
