Maybe, and this is only a suggestion. This bundle of cuteness may need a touch of warmth to his/her skin tone. Looks a little cold to me. I post this only because 43 other people have looked and couldn't muster a suggestion. I like the lying down and I love the expression.

i like the exposure and color temperature......i think the baby's skin looks as it should...his pose it fine, but it think it's the camera's perspective that could use a little tweaking.....as shot, the baby looks a tad uncomfortable.....it you had been more over him....with him looking up at the camera.....i think he would look more snug and settled.....

I think at 3 months, propped up would make a great photo opportunity. I personally am not a fan of black backgrounds with baby portraits, but that is just my sentiment. If you've got some baskets big enough for putting the baby in, that would be cute too.

I have noticed over the years that most sitting shots of infants use props to hold them up. Even shots of them on their fronts use props. So I think this type of shot accomplishes your full body pose very well.

I think the picture is sharp and the color looks good to me, but I do find myself tilting my head a little to see his face. You could tilt your camera so that his head is higher up in the frame, or put him in a bean bag chair so he is curled in a natural position. Also, if/when he can prop himself up with his arms when on his tummy, you can take a picture from the front with the rest of him blurred out, or from side as you have done here.

Thanks everyone for your comments! I have posted a new pose on here that I think has a better position. Although I think this pic is a little sharper, so we will see which one wins out in the end! |
