OK. I'm trying to take pictures of myself with some emotion, but i really need an outsiders opinion to really know how i'm doing. Be honest! I can take it!

The first one has an odd green tinge to it. Not sure if that was intentional but I don't think it really works. Might be able to fix it up in Photoshop though.

The second one is overexposed.

The third one is interesting, maybe in black and white?

A good starter set to show some emotions.

BTW, either get the WB and exposure right or do some post processing to fix them. Use cropping to add impact. Sample for illustration.

The storyboard helps because the background you are using doesn't really do much to add to the emotion, and the logo on the shirt is distracting. There are a lot of elements that can go into setting a tone for the image. Try staring out a window with some nice lighting, or out with an interesting background or something that makes people wonder what you are thinking. These look like you are in the woods and someone called your name. Make the setting fit the mood you are trying to convey.

Self portraits are hard (for me anyway). I have a hard time getting the message across when I am on the wrong side of the camera.
