Default Newborn - out of focus?

This shot looks a little flat to me compared to others I took. I can't tell if it is out of focus or just needs an unsharp mask or something. This was using window light. Any comment would be helpful, thank you!

I think you just need a bit of sharpening, though I like the High Pass method better than the USM. Here is a tutorial on using High Pass if you don't already know.

There are many other sharpening methods but this one works pretty well for me in most situations.

And thanks for the video on the high bass Lee. I have used that and inverted it before to soften skin, but not actually as a sharpening tool. I will give it a try!

I don't think baby is really oof, I think its more that the baby is all nice and soft whereas in contrast the little pram is very sharp and hard. Super cute pic!

I didn't notice the baby being out of focus, but at first my eye was tricked by the fuzzy blanket on the right side.
