Default Beginner - Need Help with my 1st Assignment!

I took a photo for my 1st Assignment submission with my camera set to monochrome so I could have a black and white image, but the shot has the red eye effect, although obviously not red more like light spots...any advice on how these can be removed? I have photoshop CS4.

Any help is much appreciated, and any other critique on my pic is welcome. I'm very new to photography and only just starting to use manual settings on my camera.

Smile just my stab at it...hope it helps

just my stab at it real quick. I have Photo-brush 5 free trial. So i don't know if it is the same concept but all i did was zoom all the way on the eye and used a stamp to copy parts of the eye intact to finish the parts missing from the white glare spots. I chose a slighty transparent small size. I found after i zoomed in the eye didn't look right and just took a few stamps of a slightly lighter color to create another small ring around the pupil to make it look more normal. Then lightened the whites around that with the lighter brush. Also in the corner of the eye just used stamp tool also to add some of the corner of the eye back that was missing from the spots. not perfect but just did it real fast. Hope this helps...

I should have stamped a slighter darker black curve along the top of the eye to seperate the eyelid from the eye more. It would be easy to do just color pick the color already in the pick a shade darker somewhere from the pic and airbrush a thin line. Might look better...
