Exclamation First time shooting a model

I just got my Calumet Genesis 200 2-Light Kit last week. I asked a friend if she was willing to go out and let me take pictures of her. She was happy to!

Here is my favorite picture:
Jenna

If you are interested here are the rest:

In the Jenna shot the main light was too low and too far off to one side. Most thin models like Jenna can "handle" flat lighting, so don't be afriad to move the main light closer to the camera but above her then aimed down at the subject. There should be catchlights in her eyes. If not lower the main light until there is.

Jenna is a beautiful girl and you have every right to be proud of these images. I would tone the light down just a bit (or stop down) as her skin is beginning to look a bit washed out. Aside from that, you have made Jenna look like a hotty.
(The shot with the guy in the background while Jenna displays her, uh...equipment to the camera is hysterical. He has a look of total disinterest in what should be a teenage boys dream. Must be her brother.)

That sounds good. I'll keep it in mind next time we go out shooting

I noticed that the light was a bit too strong, next time I think ill shoot through an umbrella.

I loved that picture too! Too bad he (Ben) didn't. I also just uploaded another one of them two.

Oh and he's not her brother we all just go to the same college!

It will help others critique your work if you ask some kind of question as to what part of the image you want critique on.

When I clicked on the Jenna link my McAfee site advisor went off with this message.....

McAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential security risks with this site. Use with extreme caution
