Sunshine should be used as a background and hair light only and should never be allowed to encroach onto skin because it will overexpose the skin and it leaves hard harsh shadows. If you MUST use sunshine, use it in the late afternoon and use a flash unit to bring the subject's exposure up closer to the sun's exposure as you have done above.
Before using a reflector to bounce sunshine back into your subject's face, try it on yourself. If you squint when the light hits your face, so will your subject. ![]() Benji |
