Default Portrait of my grandfather

I took this shot of my grandfather, I like it, but am not too keen on the sepia/antique tone on it. Any critiques?
What do ya'll think about the antique effect? Is it alright or too much?
I shot this with my Canon Rebel, using one of the professional settings (I can not remember which one it was as I had used several different settings throughout out the day taking photos.)I used manual focus and a 35mm lens. I also had a UV fiter on the lens.
All I did during editing was boosted the color up a bit and overlayed the antique effect.

hey, amanda.....

i see you're having a little trouble posting your image.....hopefully, this link will help you .......also, since this is your first offering to critique, i suggest that you take a minute tom review the critique forum rules here......you'll see that in addition to the image and specific question (which you asked so well), you'll need to include the exif for the image....

thanks!

i think that the sepia tone works well with this... but.. its too dark on the bottom and too bright on the top...

thanks for sharing, but also, please include yuor exif data.. really helps us out.. and then i could provide more critique of what to do and/or what settings...
i couldnt agree more with peeperita here as posting here and your exif is crucial

thanks for sharing

Thanks for the critique! I agree on the brightness, I think i'm gonna work on it some more, maybe play around with the contrast.

I will include that data in all other topics I make here. I really do not recall what settings I used to snap this one though as I just quickly snapped it before my grandpa moved (Candid shot so he would look natural and not posed) So I really didn't take the time to mess with the settings. I did use a manual focus.

I like this shot... It really has that antique effect to it

Also, even though you can't remember the settings you used, you can always check the properties of the original picture. If you have windows vista or higher you can simply right click and go to properties and the details tab. For older versions of windows you can use something like photoshop - you can check it by going to File Menu - File>File Info>Advanced>EXIF Properties

Why thank you!
And I am a Mac person, but I will look into how to get that data via a Mac. :0)
