Default My youngest - 3 months old

Hey everyone! I am new to photography and just learning my settings. I took these in my room on the bed by a window for natural light. I don't know how to tell you what settings I used, so if anyone can share how to find it I will update with that info. Like I said I haven't been doing this too long, so any suggestions and critiques are needed!

Sorry forgot to say this was taken with my Nikon D3000!

edited because I found the info!

Thanks for your reply!

Do you guys think that the crease line is distracting? I was so upset when I saw it there, that being said, im not sure how you can help that when your taking pics at home.. LOL

Any suggestions on that? Or how to PP it out? I tried many different things and nothing that I could do helped with out being noticeably pp around his head!

I don't think it is too distracting. You could PP it out using the clone tool, but it looks okay to me. Cute pic!

I didn't notice the crease-line until you pointed it out -- I was captivated by his eyes (and the catchlights). In my humble opinion this is a great capture -- getting half-way decent shots of kids this age is a nightmare (or at least it was for me, a rank amateur). However, lots of other things about kids that age make up for it...

Good perspective, nice composition, sharp eyes....all ingredients of a good portrait shot. The crease doesn't distract. It can easily be blurred using a mask. Here's the link to a good tutorial that can help you with the PP ( Photoshop Depth Of Field Effect - Easy Camera Depth Of Field Effect In Photoshop )...hope u find it useful. I think with a few PP tweaks to adjust brightness and color, you have a keeper
