Default Mom and daughter portrait

This was from my first "real" photoshoot. I would love some critique on the mom and daughter portrait I shot yesterday. what are some improvements I could have done with taking the shot and processing? I am not happy with cutting off mom's right hand.

Default Im not an expert but...

OMG I love this! I think its mostly the posing and genuine emotion you captured. Pretty yet playful. Maybe someone will give you technical advice but I seriously dont see a thing wrong. Good job

it looks just a hair too cropped for my taste, but you two are seriously too beautiful otherwise ;P less crop, and i would have no other complaints!

I also love it - it is so clear and the colours are vibrant and true.

I love the expression captured on the little girl's face - you can really tell that she loves her mom. I think that it would be slightly better if mom was looking down at her, though.

lovely image. I agree the crop is a little tight especially the top.

I'm not an expert, but I like the crop. I like images that fill the whole frame, though.
I love the colors, as well. Fantastic job!

As mentioned by some members above, I agree the colors are lovely, and it's sharp. And I love the emotions portrayed by the both of them. Nice shot!

LOVE the expressions, and LOVE the way the little girl is looking at her mother. Absolute admiration in those little eyes for her beautiful mother. LOVE the vibrant colors.

However there are three things I don't like. 1. Mom's right upper arm muscle is huge. Asking her to temporarily relax her arm and transfer the weight to her buttocks for two seconds will fix that. 2. The legs of the little girl are spread open too much. The little girls legs should have been posed EXACTLY like her mother's legs were. 3. The little girls jacket is a mess. It should have been positioned better after she was posed.

Default Thanks all

For your input.. I actually like a tight crop.. but I did play with this a bit.and change it. the right hand was a goner so I couldn't do anything with it.... but this whole photo shoot was hard.. the girl was a "wild thing" and I don't think she sat still for a minute..I absolutely loved her energy.. but I had to run to get shots of her..and take what I could get.. right after this shot she said "Ok, Eileen.. I am done with pictures" LOL and this was about the 5th shot I took.. from there on it was a chase! LOL but thanks for your feedback. Every time is a learning experience.
